Women want polygamy

I have been thinking a hard about the whole idea of polygamy. Obviously the thoughts were influenced by many things that have happened. But the play Biko: Where the Soul Resides really brought the reality home.

The play is not actually about polygamy. It is about the life of Stephen Bantu Biko. With playwright attempting to show the life of an ordinary and who became a hero.

But this portrayal focuses a lot on his appetite for women, or what we will condemn as his skirt-chasing ways.

While many of us automatically condemn men for the polygamous or promiscuous relations they indulge in, we seem to forget that it take two to tango.

We pretend as though the women are victims and forced into such relation by circumstances; finances etc. But while watching the play I realized that women actually want polygamy and promote promiscuous behaviour.
