Take a boy child to work!

Ai my plight of black men... Black men I love them too much. You see i have a black brotha whom i love hoorey!
But his actions dumbfound me, because he keeps going after the wrong friend who get him into trouble, and those friends just keep going after trouble.
But i think we ignore them black brothas, and leave them to their own devices. And I want to suggest a take boy child to work day... because we are all working on taking our girl children to work.
Who is taking the boys where?
Let me tell a story that happened while i was working at a certain newspaper.... This is just a a story... I thought it will help me think about the issue itself.
He wore a red and white woollen cap, that covered only the top part of his head, leaning against the wall and biting his nails, he looked oblivious to the gathering crowd.
They arose to search out for youths in their neighbourhood they believed to be thieves that break into their houses.
“We received a call from a neighbour telling us someone has broken into our house,” she said.
“We rushed back home to find our TV, dvd, and other household equipment gone!” she said.
Teboho (19), who lives with grandparents, confessed.
But his neighbours are convinced he has gone into everyone’s house.
“Last week he was spotted with a dvd, on Saturday he was selling a digital camera and you can see he cannot afford it,” said Betty.
“The dvd belonged to a man in our street he had said we must take it somewhere, the camera I had borrowed,” explained Teboho, amidst the shouts of his neighbours.
“Why did he take the other dvd from the other house,” the people ask as the boys speak to the police.
Neighbourhood boys who are suspected of breaking into someone’s house speak to the cops. The other two were no where near the scene of the crime.

Then shouting women call him, "Teboho! Come here and answer the lady from the newspaper."

He jumps, startled by the shouts. But soon gets his composure, stands straight, ready to answer to all his sins...
You see what happened in that informal settlement-cum-rdp-new houses area was not that new.
The Sunday morning sun rose with cries from Snake Park residents about stolen goods. As mothers readied themselves into their church uniforms and father grabbed their first glasses of beer, the rest of the grandmothers arose to seek out the thieves.

Betty says she and her family were away over the weekend.

They found them, they live around he corner.

“Me, I admit I took a dvd sometime back from that house on that street but the she knows about it,” he said.
“I apologised for it,” he added.
But his neighbours are convinced he has gone into everyone’s house.

He named his friends as his helpers but they denied being with.
He was taken by the police.

Chris Rocks talks about Black on black violence, that we would rather steal from your neighbour who has nothing like you, than go all the way across town to someone else.
So how about we start taking our boy children to work, so no devil will have the chance to take him to his workplace... what do you think.
